With Blackwater Music Festival moving their dates to the spring, the south had been in need of a serious dance festival to kick off the semester. Luckily, Counterpoint Music Festival has announced it will take place on September 27-29 with a lineup of the whose-who of the EDM and Indie rock scene. Taking place at a 350-acre Chattahoochie river-front property the fest will feature 3-days of multiple stages with artists like Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Skrillex, Avicii, M83, Big Boi and many many others who are sure to bring the rage.

Atlanta, Georgia (May 8, 2012) – CounterPoint Music and Arts Festival, a new three-day music and arts festival in Atlanta, Georgia this September 27 – 29, 2012 has announced its first round of performers. The multi-stage festival with camping options will be held at the location of 2007′s The Echo Project, a 350-acre, scenic Chattahoochee river front property located approximately 30 minutes travel time from Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. CounterPoint plans on bringing the city to the pristine festival site. Elements such as preferred viewing areas, VIP bottle service, multiple VIP levels, luxury camping options and car service will be available. Daily express shuttle service to and from Atlanta and Athens as well as day parking will also be offered for those guests not wishing to camp onsite. Long distance shuttles with stops in all the major metro areas, within 7 hours of the event, are also being provided.
General Admission tickets go on sale Friday May 11th at 10 a.m., for $165, online at http://www.counterpointfestival.com or by calling 1-888-512-SHOW (7469). Depending on availability tickets can be purchased at the gate for $185. All-inclusive VIP Experience packages are available, starting at $365 and $565 for the VIP Platinum Experience package.
